Curbside Pickup#96

In these times of Covid, customers should be able to notify they have arrived outside the restaurant so staff can take the food out. “I am here” as an additional status could work.

This would be an incredible feature

Any update on this?

The system does work for curbside pickup. What features in particular are being requested, besides an “I am here button”.

As mentioned above, “customers should be able to notify they have arrived outside the restaurant so staff can take the food out”.

Perhaps have an option on pickup booking for curbside which asks the user for their car make/model/reg if they would like the food delivered to their car.

Thanks for the response Admin. One of the biggest issue we find is that while we are allowed to update the estimated prep time, by increasing it when we are busy, customers do not know or get notified.

Re location tracking. I was referring to tracking the customer’s location for curbside pick up. Could be a real value add option.

@MD-Booking ive put some high level steps on how to connect to Twilio above. Happy to arrange a zoom call if you want me to show you.

@Aimee Trivett That would be great! Let me try it out myself and I will get back to you if I hit the wall!
Thank you so much for your kind offer

@Aimee Trivett I used your steps and got it working to some extent. I have a few questions now. Not sure if this is the right forum here?

@MD-Booking - answer to your question is Yes. Using Pabbly and Twilio. Although there is a cost involved with Twilio.

@Avsar Gujarati Thali Well done! And yes I know there is a cost for the sms service .. But its peanuts compared to the service it gives to my customers..

The only place I would use it is for letting customers know that the estimated time has been updated to later..
